Hundreds of large headed white roses, snowball hydrangea, scented stocks, trailing amaranthus (very apt -amaranthus, or  ”Love Lies Bleeding”, as Shakespeare called it, features in this play) and cabbages coupled with gleaming ivory glassware ensured 4 very busy florists’ fingers, 2 very early starts, 2 sets of stepladders  - and around 16 cappucinos, whilst we worked away, happily.

The detail was the best bit!

The tables looked wonderful and we sighed a breath of contented relief when it was all finished…

A  lovely wedding, we will always remember…

We work with alot of brides and their partners who live outside the region -  Northumberland and Newcastle born girls who have moved further afield due to work or uni, and brides- to- be who simply wish to get married in the lovely North East, which is understandable!

We  have created some amazing weddings across the country as we have been asked to design for Yorkshire, Home Counties and London clients.

We are somewhat experts at telephone consultations, emails, Skype, and getting to know our brides and what will fit perfectly with their wedding plans. Our ideas are formed by knowledge gained through so many years in the business. We know our chosen field very well and distance is not a problem.

Friday and Saturday mornings signal an early rise for us – Cinnamon Rose HO is a little hub of activity  – wiring shower bouquets, taping corsages and checking ribbon bindings are secured with vintage and pearl pins.

The morning of the wedding is always filled with anticipation!

So sometimes we have to spell it out!

Alot of preparation goes into the ordering of wedding flowers, stem counts, checking and double checking availability of rare varieties and temperamental ones such as lily of the valley, peonies and hydrangea, whose growing times can halt one day  – and then they can be in full bloom another.

What makes it all worthwhile, and makes everything worthwhile, we think you will agree, is this….

We combined these ideas with an infusion of deep purple, lilacs and deepest green asparagus fern and British roses. Her pretty, fluid table centres and vintage bouquet smelled just divine.

We all enjoyed setting up the venue decs although it was one of the hottest days of the year! A lot of sparkling water and chocolate croissants later, we were happy with our work…

Don’t you think a dash of lime to the martini vases –  carrying such heavenly whites –  set off the Great Hall at Jesmond Dene House pretty well?!

Accompanied by lily of the valley, stephanotis and Avalanche roses, the hydrangea and peony –  in pure white –  joined a fresh sage green for a natural fresh palette.

The beautiful Jesmond Dene House was the venue for the wedding breakfast and continued the theme of white and green  – with the added ingredients of lime and martini vases for a modern  twist!

The lovely Laura had clear ideas about how she would like the flowers at her and David’s wedding at Matfen Hall in July 2009. Having brought pictures and ideas to us, we worked out the best way to create this vision with different vaseware, herbs, lightest green and ivory flowers, and candlelight.

Her selection of beautiful green and white flowers was classic and simple and fitted the theme of the wedding fantastically. It was exactly the relaxed romantic look the couple were looking for.

The snow was against them and us! But all their guests from far and wide made it to see the lovely couple get married and celebrate.

Helen picked out lovely vintage shades for her flowers which matched perfectly with her gorgeous dress and the surrounding of Durham Castle.

Our friend and wonderful photgrapher Katy Melling was present throughout  the day and captured the happiness and relaxed celebrations perfectly.

We worked over 5 months with Mary and her mum, Wendy, to organise Mary’s large wedding at home near Lucker, Northumberland.

The beautiful bride and her bridesmaids looked gorgeous and their carefully selected flowers set off their dresses wonderful.

She was keen to include British summer flowers so we constructed the girls’ bouquets from purest white hydrangea, stocks, double freesia and David Austin “Patience” roses.

The wedding breakfast flowers had to give  an impressive finish to the beautiful marquee. It was entirely cream.

Four feet high table vases of cut limes filled with green and white hydrangea, palms, scented eucalyptus and white and green roses tied in the English country feel with a more contemporary look which matched the chic interior perfectly.

Lime green and ivory hydrangea,  and Green Tea roses, placed effortlessly in mismatched glass vases kept the interior decorations cool.

On the day, we weren’t sure whether the sun would hang in there long enough for the ceremony to take place on the lawn….so we waited with held breath….and it did!

So the lanterns and the  dressed chairs were placed along the grass.  The sun shone til 8pm on that bank holiday.
